Is my data private?
Photos and scans live in private storage buckets that are not publicly reachable and are served only through short-lived signed links. Every record is protected by row-level security, so your account can only read and write its own data. There are no advertising or analytics SDKs, no cross-app tracking, and no advertising identifier. The Privacy Policy lists everything collected, item by item.
Do I need to give Braceys my email address?
Yes. Your email address is how you sign in and recover your account. We send a six-digit code when you sign up, and again if you change the address; ordinary sign-in needs only your email and password. For a patient under 18, the account must use their parent or guardian’s email address.
How do I delete my account and everything in it?
Open Settings, then Account, then Delete account. That removes your login, your database records, and your photos and scans from storage. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. If you cannot get into the app, email teambraceys@outlook.com and we will take care of it.
Is Braceys a medical device?
No. Braceys is a non-medical support and documentation tool. It does not diagnose, it does not give medical or dental advice, and it does not make or recommend treatment decisions. Nothing in the app — wear totals, scans, reminders, or comparisons between them — should be relied on as a clinical measurement. For anything about your treatment or your health, your dentist or orthodontist is the right person to ask.
