For orthodontists
See how the last six weeks actually went.
Braceys is a free app your clear aligner patients use between appointments — wear tracking, guided progress photos, 3D smile scans, and their tray schedule. The portal is where your practice reads that record, adjusts the plan, and messages the patient. No new workflow, no software to install.
What the portal shows.
Everything the patient recorded, in the order you would ask for it — and nothing else from their phone.
Wear time, day by day
Hours worn against the daily goal you set, with the weekly trend behind it. The question “are they actually wearing them?” has an answer before the appointment starts rather than during it.
Progress photos as captured
Face-aligned photos taken through the same on-screen guidance every time, so a set from March lines up against a set from June instead of being a different photo of the same mouth.
3D smile scans
The surface the patient captured on their phone, rotatable in the browser. A record of the visible front of the smile between visits — not an intraoral scan, and not a substitute for one.
The plan you set
Tray count, days per tray, and the daily wear goal. Change them in the portal and the patient’s app follows, including the countdown to their next tray change.
Direct messaging
A private thread with the patient, alongside the same progress you are both looking at. Fewer calls that begin with describing a photo over the phone.
How a patient links to your practice.
Three steps, and the patient can undo the third at any point.
Create a practice account
Email, password, and one six-digit verification code — no procurement and no per-seat pricing. The portal runs in a browser, so there is nothing to install at the practice.
Give the patient your code
The portal shows one standing code for your practice. Read it out at the chair, and the patient types it into the Braceys app to connect their account to you.
They stay in control
A patient is linked to one active practice at a time and can end the link whenever they want. Nothing is visible to you before they link, or after they unlink.
What it does not do.
- No diagnosis, no clinical measurement, no treatment recommendation
- No scoring or ranking of your patients
- No advertising or analytics SDKs, and no data sold or shared with brokers
Where a phone scan stops
A Braceys scan is built from a front-facing camera, so occlusal and lingual surfaces, molars, and tight interproximal contacts are not in the model. It is a record of the visible anterior segment over time. It is not an intraoral scan and cannot be used as one. The technology page sets out the limits in full.
Getting started
Free to try with one patient.
Create an account, send one patient a link, and see what six weeks of their wear data looks like before deciding whether it belongs in your practice.
Braceys is a non-medical support and documentation tool. Clinical judgement stays with you.
